Infinite Possiblities Project - Day 8: Change the Story

Day 8
IDENTIFY AND CHANGE A STORY YOU TELL

*Sometimes we get so caught up in the stories we tell ourselves and others about our lives that before long these stories become our truth (or what we believe is our truth). Today, take a serious look at the stories you’ve been telling and choose to start telling a new, more empowering story. Promise yourself that you’ll practice telling your new story every time you’re asked about yourself.

IN YOUR JOURNAL OR ON A SHEET OF PAPER, ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS:

What story have you been telling over and over?
What new story do you want to begin telling moving forward? Jot down a synopsis, “My life really blasted off in 2016 when I started looking forward instead of back, while enjoying one day at a time in the present. That’s when I… {complete the narration}!” This can be a paragraph or much longer, just make sure you have fun writing it.*

This is the rewrite/manage story, but I do love how this one is about not taking yourself apart for having told yourself the wrong story. I don't feel like this one applies to me as much today as it did last week. I am in such a great place and not telling myself stories that are keeping me chained somewhere anymore. Most of the time, my best stories are the ones that keep me pushing hard and harder forward toward even more shiny, joyful, soul fulfilling choices.
